MindBubble

How this came to be

I made these tools for myself.

I’m Charlie. I’m a widower. I have bad anxiety and PTSD. I started building MindBubble because I needed somewhere to put my hands and my head when the night went long and the house was too quiet.

Grief does not keep office hours. Neither does a nervous system that has learned the world isn’t safe. A lot of what I found online felt like a waiting room, or like homework, or like someone trying to sell me calm. I didn’t want a product. I wanted something I would actually open. So I made it.

The worry monster, the garden, the quick escapes, the breathing count — those are things I use. If they help you as well, I’m glad. That’s the whole hope. I am not a clinician. This is not treatment. It’s one person putting down what has helped him get through a day, in case it helps someone else get through theirs.

I used Samaritans when my wife passed away. That’s why the number is at the top — I know that hour. The library is free because locking this stuff behind money sat wrong with me once I’d lived it. Ads stay off the hard pages. What you log on the trackers stays on your device. I’m still one person making this, in the UK, as I go.

Only if you want to. A tip just helps pay for hosting. Stripe takes the card — I never see it.

🫧 A gentle note

MindBubble is a tool to use — not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a miracle cure. It isn’t a substitute for professional support, therapy, or treatment. Organisations we signpost are independent.
